SUMMER DIALOGUES WITH THE ASPEN INSTITUTE'S MCCLOSKEY SPEAKER SERIES
High school and middle school students looking to take their summer to the next level are encouraged to participate in Summer Dialogues, an exciting series of events which provides students firsthand exposure to the leaders featured in the Aspen Institute’s McCloskey Speaker Series. Crowds of hundreds will gather at the Aspen Institute to listen to speakers who have a far-reaching impact on society, but only 25 students will have the chance to meet with each speaker for an exclusive question and answer session prior to the event.
Speakers vary in topic from documentary filmmaking to bioethics and the future of microfinance, but each is a widely renowned expert who has made significant contributions to their field. Participants will receive readings on the speaker and his or her work in order to optimize each session. After meeting with the speaker, the group will then watch the lecture together and participate in a discussion facilitated by a Tomorrow's Voices representative.
The 2009 series was a great success and plans are being made to make Summer Dialogues 2010 even better. Speakers at this time are not known, but will be posted as soon as they are confirmed.
If you are interested in participating in the program, please contact Lexi at Tomorrow's Voices (970) 948-9570 or (see below).

TOMORROW'S VOICES
ISSUES OF SPEAKER SERIES 2010
As part of our spring semester 2010, Issues of Sustainability class, we again will provide a speaker series that taps into our enormous local talent and offers our students and the public a chance to listen to, and particpate in dialogue with, many very knowledgable local enviornmental speakers. The series covers a number of intriguing topics from Rocky Mountain Institute's Natural Capitalism (www.natcap.org) to dealing with our valley's "bear" problem. The topics are compelling, the speakers are enthralling and the class is a wonderful educational opportunity for students to discover the nature of sustainability and its importance to our world today.
